ML Services は SQL Server 2017 Express Edition (Windows) でも使用できるので、Express Edition をインストールする際に ML Services を Python を含めてインストールすることで、Revoscalepy のパッケージをインストールすることができます。
しかし、環境によっては、ML Services をインストールしないで、Revoscalepy のパッケージを使用できるようにしたいというケースがあるかと思います。
(Linux については、現時点では、ML Services をインストールすることができないというのもありますが)
今回は ML Services をインストールせずに、Revoscalepy をインストールするための方法をまとめたいと思います。

Windows Server version 1709 が先日リリースされました。

• Windows Server, version 1709 available for download!

このバージョンが 半期チャネル のファーストリリースですね。
Windows 上での Linux コンテナの実行についてのアナウンスとして次のような情報がリリースされていましたが、最終的にどうなったんだろうと思って軽く調べたメモを。

• Container Images are now out for Windows Server version 1709!

Nano Server も、ものすごい軽くなりましたね。

IaaSクラウド上でWindows Server 2016のWindows Updateはハイリスク？ でも解説されていますが、私が使用しているいくつかの環境でも KB4038782 が 20 時間ぐらいたっても適用が完了せず、Windows Update の進捗が 45% ～ 47% 程度の間から進まないという現象が発生しています。
この現象に合致し、あきらめてサーバーを再起動または、電源断を行うかの判断として見ておきたいポイントを少しまとめておきたいと思います。

SQL Server 2017 では、コンテナーをサポートするようになっており、コンテナーのイメージについては Docker Hub で公開されています。
Microsoft が公開しているリポジトリとしては次のものになる感じですかね。

Docker 版については次の記載があります。

License

SQL Server Developer edition lets developers build any kind of application on top of SQL Server. It includes all the functionality of Enterprise edition, but is licensed for use as a development and test system, not as a production server. SQL Server Developer Edition cannot be used in a production environment.

Docker のイメージを単純に Pull して実行した場合は、Developer Edition としてインストールされるのが注意ですね。

Windows / Linux の購入方法は変わらないようですね。
コンテナのライセンスは、仮想マシンと同じ考え方っぽいですね。

Microsoft Video Indexer expands functionality unlocking more video insights に記載されていますが、9 月の更新で、Video Indexer の Insights の情報をポータルからダウンロードできるようになりました。

JSON に含まれている内容については、API 経由で取得できる情報と同じかと思いますので、Examine the Video Indexer output から、取得できる内容を確認できるかと。
Insights の情報が含まれている JSON のファイルをダウンロードすることができるようになっているのですが、
これを SQL Server 上でクエリをかけてみたいと思います。
