Windows 8 CP では USB から Windows を起動する Windows To Go という機能を使用することができます。
通常は、Windows AiK を使用してインストールメディアの WIM ファイルを IMAGEX で USB メディアに展開し、BCDBOOT を使用して BOOT に必要な情報を書き込むことで Windows To Go の環境を構築するかと思います。
