VM Role の展開時に必要となる証明書を makecert で作ってみる

VM Role と書いていますが他の Role も一緒ですね。

Management Portal 登録する証明書としては以下の 2 種類があるかと思います。

  • 管理証明書 (Management Certiciate)
  • サービス証明書 (Service Certificate)

今回の投稿ではこれらの証明書を makecert で作ってみたいと思います。
VS や VWD をインストーすると GUI で作成できるのですけど、あえてこれらをインストールしないで対応するのが IT Pro。

VM Role のパッチマネジメントを考える

Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 の提供も開始されましたので、VM Role のパッチマネジメントについて自分なりに考えていきたいと思います。
今回のパッチマネジメントは修正プログラム (OS / アプリケーション) を範囲としています。
# アプリケーションの更新をパッチマネジメントというかは微妙な気がするのですが…。

軽く試したところ、VM Role で Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 を動かすことはできました。image

VM Role で Azure Drive を使って SQL Server を実行してみる

VM Role で SQL Server を実行するための方法を少しまとめてみたいと思います。
MSDN フォーラムでもこの辺は話題になるみたいですね。

実行することはできますが非サポートになるようですのでご利用は計画的に。

今回は Microsoft SQL Server2008 R2 RTM – Express with Advanced Services を使用しています。

移動ユーザープロファイルを使用して VM Role のユーザープロファイルを永続化

VM Role にリモートデスクトップでログインした際に使用されるユーザープロファイルはデフォルトでは [C:Users] の下に作成されます。

C ドライブの内容ですが、csupload した VHD が使用されるため、非永続領域となります。

今回の投稿では、Azure Drive + 移動ユーザープロファイルを使用して、Azure Storage 上にユーザープロファイルを作成して、ユーザープロファイルの永続化を実施してみたいと思います。
